THE SKY CHANGES CONSTANTLY.
PLANETS SHIFT.# THE MOON MOVES.
STARS RISE AND SET.
HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE WHERE SOMETHING# IS IN THE SKY?
WE HAVE A PLAN.
THE FIRST IMAGINARY MARK IS THE ZENITH; THE TOP# OF THE SKY.
ALL THIS WEEK AT FOUR THIRTY AM, VEGA IN LYRA THE HARP WILL BE NEAR THE ZENITH.
YOU SHOULD ALSO KNOW THE ECLIPTIC.
OUR SOLAR# SYSTEM IS A SPINNING DISC WITH PLANETS TRAVELING ALONG IT AND THE SUN IN THE MIDDLE.
THE# ECLIPTIC MARKS THAT PLANE IN THE SKY!
ALL WEEK AROUND SUNSET VENUS# WILL FOLLOW THE SETTING SUN, WITH JUPITER FURTHER UP THE SKY.
IF YOU DRAW# AN IMAGINARY ARC THROUGH THE PLANETS, TOWARD REGULUS AT THE BASE OF LEO’S SICKLE, AND PAST# BLUE SPICA IN VIRGO - THAT ARC IS THE ECLIPTIC!
IF YOU KNOW WHERE THIS IS YOU CAN FIND PLANET# CONJUNCTIONS, MOON PHASES AND BIG ECLIPSES BECAUSE THE SUN, PLANETS AND MOON FALL ALONG# THE ECLIPTIC.
