In the late 1960s, the curtain came down - almost forever - on these once great theaters. But, an eclectic group of volunteers sprang into action, tirelessly working to find ways get the theaters performing again. Today, PlayhouseSquare is the country’s largest performing arts center outside of New York’s Lincoln Center.
