-That's true.

-And we were almost not even gonna be a band.

I mean, you know, there was musicians that played on it.

But we were recording for, you know, months before -- At the end of 2017, we were both like -- I mean, I kinda, like, secretly was like, "Man, it would be a shame to not to play this stuff live," and I was like, "I'm gonna play it cool."

I remember him walking out one time, I was like, "Wouldn't it be cool to play some of this stuff?"

and he's like, "I think it'd be dope," and I'm like, "Wouldn't it be fun?"

So we almost weren't a band, you know?

We were just doing it for fun, and we were gonna, you know, keep it in our catalog or do something with it.

But -- But now, you know, we have that -- we have this incredible band that we've had now for years, at this point, and there's such chemistry there between all the musicians there that, like, we definitely utilized that on this album.

You know, you put these people in a room, and they bring ideas to life, for sure.

And that's something that I think makes this album really a strong one.

-We're very, very, very, very fortunate to have the outfit that we do, I think.

Yeah.

Our growth and our elevation, our trajectory happened really, really fast for us, and I think that pressing pause for us meant for us to just kind of take a step back and regather ourselves so that we could refuel.

I think that by the time we pressed pause, maybe we had two or three shows left, maybe two countries to visit.

And, you know, it had been maybe three years, and the album was, like, maybe 60% done -- for the second album.

So it was really time for us to kind of, like, refuel, retreat, regather, and I'm glad we did.

The music is -- it feels reflective of something that has some care that has been, you know, integrated.

-Well, we've experienced not so much -- not only so much music together but life together.

You know, when you're out on tour with people -- we've done our share of touring, at this point -- it's -- it's, like -- I just explain it to people like -- it's like -- Imagine the people you work with, imagine living with them.

Imagine laughing with them, crying with them, partying with them, being -- You know, you -- you build such a bond with people, and Eric and I's bond has grown so much in this short amount of time, and it continues to grow.
