>> ERIC: IT'S INDEX FILE TIME.
LAST WEEK, WE ASKED YOU ABOUT SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED IN JANUARY, 1925.
A NEWSPAPER OUT EAST HIGHLIGHTED A MINNESOTA "THING" THAT MADE INTERNATIONAL NEWS.
IT WAS HERALDED AS THE LARGEST OF ITS KIND, MEASURING 60 FEET LONG, CONTAINING MORE THAN 400 POUNDS OF A NATURAL SUBSTANCE AND NEEDING MULTIPLE PEOPLE TO HOLD IT UP.
OUR QUESTION WAS SIMPLE: WHAT WAS THIS RECORD-BREAKING THING THAT MADE INTERNATIONAL NEWS IN 1925?
DESPITE ALL THAT USEFUL INFORMATION, SOME OF YOU COULDN'T COME UP WITH THE ANSWER WE "KNEADED" TO HEAR.
>> Eric: HOPE YOU DO, DAVE.
ALL WRONG.
BUT FOR THE CORRECT ANSWER, WE KNEW OUR OLD FRIEND, MITCHELL, THE POET, WOULD RISE TO THE OCCASION.
>> Eric: REALLY GOOD.
YEAH.
THAT'S RIGHT.
IN 1925 THE LANCASTER NEW ERA NEWSPAPER, BASED IN LANCASTER, PENNSYLVANIA, PUBLISHED PHOTOS OF WHAT THEY DECLARED WAS THE LARGEST LOAF OF BREAD EVER MADE.
IT USED OVER 400 POUNDS OF FLOUR AND WAS BAKED IN THE "FLOUR CITY" OF MINNEAPOLIS.
THAT'S ABOUT ALL THE INFORMATION WE HAVE.
IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING MORE ABOUT THIS RECORD-SETTING LOAF, LET US KNOW.
